Privacy Policy
1) Summary
- Data we process: minimal account identifiers (if you sign in), gameplay progress, device and diagnostics (for stability/analytics), and ad delivery data via Google AdMob.
- What we don’t do: we do not sell your personal information.
- Your choices: play anonymously; sign in to sync; opt for non-personalized ads by default; if we later offer personalized ads, you’ll be able to opt in (and on iOS you may see Apple’s tracking prompt).
2) Data We Collect & Why
- Account & Authentication (optional): If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and (where applicable) display name or email from the provider. Used to sync progress, leaderboards/friends, and prevent abuse.
- Gameplay & App Data: Puzzle history, scores/times, friend activity, and app settings (some stored locally on your device). Used to provide core features, restore progress, and improve the game.
- Diagnostics & Analytics: Crash and performance information, general usage metrics (via Firebase services). Used to fix bugs and improve stability.
- Advertising Data: Ad requests and impressions through Google AdMob. At launch, ads are non-personalized (contextual). If we later enable personalized ads, we will request any required platform consent first.
3) Social & Friends Features
Social features such as following friends, friend codes, and invite links are optional. If you use them, we may store your display name, avatar, friend/follow relationships, and limited gameplay stats that are intended to be visible to your friends/followers inside the App. You can unfollow other players or regenerate your friend code at any time. The App does not include chat, text, voice, or video communication between users. We do not expose your email address to other users.
4) Cookies & Identifiers
DieDoku is a mobile app and does not use browser cookies in the App. The App and third-party SDKs may use device or ad identifiers (e.g., IDFA on iOS or AAID on Android). For launch, AdMob is configured for non-personalized ads, which avoids cross-app tracking and Apple’s ATT tracking prompt.
5) Legal Bases (EEA/UK users)
- Contract: to provide the App and synchronize your progress if you sign in.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, operate, and improve the App, prevent abuse, and measure performance.
- Consent: if we later offer personalized ads or optional data uses, we will request your consent (and on iOS, show the ATT prompt as required).
6) Ads & Personalization Controls
- Launch behavior: Ads are non-personalized by default (no tracking prompt).
- Future option: If we offer personalized ads, we will provide an in-app control and obtain any required platform consent first. You may decline and continue with non-personalized ads.
- Rewarded ads: If available, viewing is optional and may grant in-game benefits (e.g., hints). Reward usage may be stored for gameplay integrity.
- Ad provider: Google AdMob. See Google’s Ads Policy and AdMob Policy for details on how Google processes ad data.
7) Sharing & Third Parties
- Infrastructure: Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Analytics/Diagnostics) to deliver core features and stability.
- Advertising: Google AdMob to serve ads.
- Sign-in Providers: Apple and Google for optional authentication.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights and users’ safety.
8) Data Location & Transfers
We use cloud services that may process data in the United States and other regions. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
9) Retention
- Account and gameplay data are retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the App.
- Crash/diagnostic data are retained per the provider’s default retention windows.
- You may request deletion at any time (see “Your Rights”).
10) Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
11) Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, please contact us to remove it.
12) Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can also:
- Play using a temporary, anonymous account (no email or password required).
- Unlink a sign-in provider in your device settings or within the App (where available).
- Contact us to request data access or deletion.
California users: we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
